Financial Information

Financial Support

Various kinds of financial support are available. Once all of the required information is received, applicants will automatically be considered for American Studies Department financial support. However, some fellowships require an additional statement. Click on Financial Support Information for details.

All financial support packages awarded through the Graduate School and American Studies are based on academic merit. Most need-based financial aid, such as student loans, may be obtained through the financial aid office after students have been admitted for graduate study. For details about financial assistance programs for foreign students, applicants who are not American citizens or resident aliens should contact International Programs and Scholar Services.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Is financial assistance available to all students?

Yes, we have a basic five-year funding package (includes stipend, full tuition, and health insurance) for all students entering with a bachelor's degree and/or a bachelor's degree and one semester or less of transfer graduate credits. We have a basic four-year funding package (includes stipend, full tuition, and health insurance) for all students entering with more than a semester of transfer graduate credits and/or a master's degree which will be used in part to complete department requirements.
